Thriving in Community
The 177th Session of the California-Nevada Annual Conference took place from June 27 – 30, 2025 in Sacramento with the theme “Thriving in Community”. This sacred time brought clergy and laity together to give account of their ministry, discern God’s will for the future, and celebrate those called to ordained ministry. In worship, legislation, and holy conferencing, we reflected about what it means to be “Thriving in Community”. The gathered community honored retiring clergy, remembered those who have passed, and fixed pastoral appointments for the coming year.
Above all, it was a Spirit-filled time of connection, renewal, and commitment to God’s work in the world in this critical time. Your lay delegate, Tom Huetteman, Laurel Williams, and Pastor Sunae will share their reports and we will listen to Bishop Sandy Olewine’s powerful opening video message. Join us.
